Zoink! is a fun 2-6 player game that includes the use of Icehouse Pieces, a 6-sided die, and a set of unique Zoink! playing cards. Each player wants to collect all of the icehouse pieces of their chosen color by drawing cards that allow them to take from the center.

Equipment[edit | edit source]

- A six-sided die
- 1 sets of icehouse pieces per player
- A full set of Zoink! playing cards (120 in total)
15 “Lose 1 Pieces” Cards
15 “Lose 2 Pieces” Cards
3 “Lose 3 Pieces” Cards
15 “Gain 1 Pieces” Cards
15 “Gain 2 Pieces” Cards
30 “Zoink!” Cards
15 “Wild” Cards
6 “Skip” Cards
6 “Reverse” Cards

Preparation[edit | edit source]

In order to start the game, the Zoink! playing cards should be shuffled until mixed well.
Each player rolls the die before the game begins. The player with the highest roll goes first.
The player with the highest roll also gets to pick the color of icehouse pieces they will be collecting. The player that gets the second highest roll gets to pick their color next, the player with the third highest roll gets to pick their color third, and so on.
Each player has to collect all of the same color of pieces throughout the game.
For example, if the first person who rolls wants to collect the red pieces, in order for them to win, they need all of the red pieces in play.
The game moves from the player with the highest roll, clockwise around the table.
In the center of the table, there is a DRAW pile, DISCARD pile and a place for the discarded icehouse pieces. The cards in the DRAW pile are faced down while the cards in the DISCARD pile are face up.
To start the game, each player places ONE icehouse piece of any color into the center.

Card Rules[edit | edit source]

Zoink! - take any piece out of the center and swap it with one in your hand
Lose 1 - lose one of your pieces of any color out of your hand
Lose 2 - lose two of your pieces of any color out of your hand
Lose 3 - lose three of your pieces of any color out of your hand
Gain 1 - gain one piece of any color out of the center
Gain 2 - gain two pieces of any color out of the center
Skip - the next player’s turn is skipped
Reverse - the order of play is changed from clockwise to counterclockwise or vise versa
Wild - if a wild card is drawn, the player then rolls a die. The results can be seen in the chart below under Gameplay.

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

Before the game begins, each player places ONE icehouse piece of any color in the center. This will create the beginnings of the stock that pieces can be taken from when a player selects a "Take # piece(s)". Each player is dealt 7 cards.
The first player takes a card from the DRAW pile and then follows the appropriate instructions. What each card does is explained above in Card Rules. After their turn is over they place it in the DISCARD pile. The next player then picks up a card, plays it, and the cycle continues.
All players must have 7 cards in their hand at all times. Extra cards can be discarded on their next turn instead of picking up a new card.

WILD ROLLS
1--Lose 3 pieces
2 --Lose 2 pieces
3 --Lose 1 piece
4 --Gain 1 piece
5 --Gain 2 pieces
6 --Gain 3 pieces

Winner[edit | edit source]
