Summer 2023: New domain

Wiki page moved to a new domain this summer and work is still on going to update and review the database of games.

February 2021: Raffle Contest by Looney Labs

To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Looney Labs has launched a contest in which players can earn raffle tickets by completing tasks that engage with the brand. Prizes in the raffle consist of rare items, many pyramid-related. Prizes will be announced in greater detail in the coming weeks by Looney Labs. You can register for the contest here. The last day to enter your raffle tickets will be March 28, 2021.

New Option for Viewing Games

New in 2019: Two additional options for viewing games:
Games by Release Year This lets users see all pyramid games by their date of release, and will automatically update whenever a new game is added to the Wiki. Currently there are 544 games listed with descriptions for your browsing pleasure.

Games by Design Stage This lets users see all pyramid games by their state of completion, from Initial Design through Playtesting to Complete. This list will automatically update whenever a new game is added to the Wiki. Currently there are 544 games listed with descriptions for your browsing pleasure.

Recent New Games and Articles

• Nomids (2020), playable with Pyramid Arcade, becomes the latest pyramid game to be published.
• Nickel (2020), Xero-G (2019), Override (2019), Elemental Towers (2018), and WarpShips (2018) are the newest fan-made games. Check them out!

700+ pages about 500+ games

September 2019: the site has grown to include over 500 pyramid games! Thanks to everybody who has helped to make the pyramid community and the Icehouse Wiki grow!

Pyramid Arcade

Looney Labs ran a Kickstarted project featuring a brand new boxed set of pyramids and tons of neat new other components for pyramid games. They called it Pyramid Arcade, and it shipped to customers in late 2016. Check it out if you haven't already, and start playing and designing games with all of these great new components!

Rebirth of the wiki

Due to some technical issues with upgrading MediaWiki, the software for this wiki had not been upgraded in years. Eventually, upgrades of PHP on the web host led to the wiki to stop working entirely.

After some consideration, we have done a dump and restore of just the latest version of all pages; this loses all history and all user accounts, but preserves the content of the wiki. The old wiki is still available read-only to browse the history at https://www.icehousegames.org/old-wiki/.

If you had an account on the old wiki, you will need to re-create it on this wiki. The actual user pages are preserved, so once you create your account you should get your old user page back. Note that there's nothing stopping someone else from creating an account with your old user name; apologies for that.

Current Contests

The Great Homeworlds Tournament of 2020 is beginning. The tournament is held online, so anyone can participate. See Instructions for how to register and join.

Game Infobox Redesign

Can you help us improve our venerable infobox, Template:Infobox Game? The new infobox should have available the list of parameters shown on Talk:Infobox, although it doesn't need to use all of them. See Talk:Infobox for the discussion.
