This template doesn't mean what you think it means.

I wrote it in the hope of making a timestamp. (I didn't know that five tildes (~~~~~) would do what I wanted.) But it's not a timestamp, nor is it a clock. It's the last time something was rendered. Sometimes, that "something" is a template, sometimes it's a page.

Somebody should change it at some point, if it keeps luring unsuspecting wiki users to use {{now}} instead of a timestamp. -- Rootbeer 13:43, 14 May 2005 (GMT)
