PEACEFUL?[edit source]

Well, there is an issue with the rules Andy published. I discuss the issue on BGG, see [Peaceful Homeworlds Thread on BGG]. The issue is "stalling": you don't have to unload your mined Small Crystals. If you don't, you can collect all 3 Smalls; then it will upset your opponent from making progress. This is a valid tactic to prevent losing against a stronger player. As an alternative, I offer the solution of swapping Crystals with the opponent, and introducing a "cooling off" period of 1 turn (can not be mined immediately by the opponent) for Crystals that are returned to the Bank. Catastrophes can still happen. So, despite its name, combat is inevitable! The Bruno Rule added later doesn't solve this issue. Regardless, the rules of Peaceful Homeworlds are OK, just as the rules of Tic-Tac-Toe that always ends in a draw. Cuc (talk) 22:38, 19 February 2021 (PST), edited Cuc (talk) 07:06, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
