Unplayable?

Following the piece entry rules given here, the board got blocked up, with no way to move further once four trees are placed in the spaces flanking the entry space (assuming optimal play). I'm puzzled, because it looks as if others have played this game successfully.

We started over, with a setup that simply placed five trees in the spaces nearest the entry point, and it made for a nice little pyramidal Chinese Checkers variant. The poker chip board with pyramids does look beautiful, and I think it's worth adopting for [Hextris] and other hex-based pyramid games.--Carthoris 14:31, 5 August 2012 (UTC)

D'oh! I figured out where I had read the rules wrong. I see now that it is permissible to move an old piece before all new pieces have been entered. --Carthoris 14:32, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
