In 1989, Icehouse Games, Inc. sold the first commercially available plastic pieces in black boxes. There were 100 boxes in this first edition, so these sets became known as the "First 100" sets. The sets also included booklets of "Rules", "Mystique", and "History"; as well as four stash pads.
