==History==

The first ever [[Penguin Soccer]] tournament took place at [http://noncon.vassar.edu Noncon] in Poughkeepsie, NY on <b>Sunday, February 24, 2008</b>.  

For tournament play a chess clock was successfully used, limiting each player to 15 minutes playing time.  No game was lost through "time-out".  

The tournament winner (crowned Penguin Soccer World Champion by the International Abstract Games Organization) was [[Oiver Grech]], who defeated [[Tom Savini]] in the final game.  A [[Treehouse]] set was awarded as a prize by tournament sponsor, [http://www.alterniverse.net Alterniverse!]
