Game Play[edit | edit source]

Single Player / Solitaire[edit | edit source]

The player places one pyramid at a time so that no single row, column, or coaster contains two or more pyramids of the same color, and no two coasters in the same row or column can contain two or more pyramids that are the same color AND size.
The player wins if they are able to place all 81 pyramids without taking back steps.

Multi-Player[edit | edit source]

All pyramids are shared by all players.
Players take turns placing pyramids on the grid by the following rules:
  • No single row, column, or tile can contain more than pyramid of the same color.
  • No two tiles that are in the same row or column can contain pyramids that are the same color AND size.
For example, if the top left tile (#1) has a 2-pip RED pyramid on one of its squares, then there cannot be a RED pyramid with 2 pips on any of the other tiles in the top row tiles (#2, #3) or left row tiles (#4, #7).
Play ends when the active player cannot legally place a new pyramid and the previous player is declared the winner.
Note: The idea of the game is based on Sudoku, but unlike Sudoku where the challenge is to complete all 81 squares, the challenge of multi-player Isoku is to try to back your opponent(s) into a situation where they cannot place a pyramid.
