The term "Color Die" can refer to either of two different dice released by Looney Labs. They are similar in nature and can be played with in games interchangeably, provided you have pyramids that match the colors on the die faces. The Color Die with circles was released in 2009, followed in 2016 by a die that used symbols rather than just circles. The symbols of the 2016 Color Die matched the suits of the five-suited Zark City deck.

Differences between Dice

The original 2009 Color Die used a dark blue (matching the dark blue pyramids) and a black color (matching the opaque black pyramids). The later 2016 Color Die used a cyan blue diamond in place of dark blue, and a purple spade in place of the black. These refer to the cyan and purple pyramids.
