Hi Thomas - this is well written. The style is almost over the top, but better to err in that direction than the other.

Can you say a bit about how playtesting has gone for you thus far?

Only almost? Guess I need to go back through and punch it up a bit!
Most of my play-testing for this game took the form of schizo-tests--just me, playing both sides. When you do that, it's always hard to pretend that you don't know what the other you is planning to do, but it turns out the mechanics of the game are unusual enough that I managed to surprise myself surprisingly often.
I did play a few games against an actual opponent, though, and the main thing I learned from those is that the game doesn't really work as well if one person is trying to figure out how it works and the other is the guy who created it. Gave me a bit of an unfair advantage, just because I knew what sort of moves to look for, and my friend still wasn't sure. I sorta kinda mopped the floors with him, and I think that soured him somewhat on the game; I wouldn't say he disliked it, as such, but there were so many other things to play that I never could persuade him to give it another go.

This game begs to be played on a double-sided board. Eeyore, here's a project for ya! - Cerulean 20:02, 13 May 2005 (GMT)

Double-sided how?
