Summary[edit | edit source]

Make sure you are the one steering a transatlantic liner into an iceberg and be remembered forever!

Objective[edit | edit source]

Get the transatlantic liners as close as possible to the icebergs without being close enough that the other players will be able to steer into them.

Preparation[edit | edit source]

Choose the tree of three icehouse pieces that looks most like icebergs, shake them and throw them out onto the middle of the table. Stand each of them upright wherever they landed. Place the rest of the pieces away from the playing area, this will be referred to as the piece pool. Each player selects one pyramid from the piece pool and places it lying down in front of them on the table, pointing towards the center of the table and the icebergs.

Play[edit | edit source]

The game starts with the coolest player, decide amongst yourself who this is. This player selects a new piece from the piece pool and places it lying down in front of any of the pieces lying down, the base of the new piece needs to touch the point of the previous piece. No other part of the piece may touch any other part of the earlier piece. After this the old piece is removed from the board and placed back in the piece pool.

Winning the game[edit | edit source]

When you are to place a piece and it can touch the point of piece lying down as well as a piece standing up you win.

Additional comments[edit | edit source]

  • This game was conceived very quickly because I really thought there ought to be a game called Ice Berg. Unfortunately as soon as I'd worked out all the mechanics I found out that there already was a game under that name only not listed on SLICK.
  • It doesn't matter who started out with a transatlantic liner, it's only who manages to steer it into an iceberg who will win.
  • If you want more than four players in the game, buy another Treehouse stash.
