Size of a nest

No other page that mentions "nest" on this site means anything other then exactly three pyramids, so far as I can find. I'm reverting a change that added ", or any two of those sizes in that order (Such that the smaller piece(s) are inside the larger one(s)) is called a nest" to the definition of a nest. I'm noting that change here so that it can be discussed, if necessary.

If there is some game in which something else is called a nest, we could make a note about that on this page, of course. (It would be good to have a general term for a nest-minus-one-piece, too.) Nevertheless, the term "nest" has an established meaning in many games, and we shouldn't be capricious to change it. -- Rootbeer 23:24, 7 May 2005 (GMT)

I seem to remember a discussion that labelled a 3-2-1 nest a "full nest", and a 3-2 or 2-1 a "partial nest", and a 3-1 something I can't quite recall, all being subsets of the term "nest". But since most of its use on the Wiki seems to imply what I'd known as a full nest, I'm fine with the revert unless anyone else says anything to back that up. -- GregF 23:38, 7 May 2005 (GMT)

The rules to Tic Tac Doh! use the term "nest" in a manner akin to the longer definition. They use "tree" the same way. Of course, those rules aren't actually on the Wiki at present. Squidd 20:49, 8 May 2005 (GMT)
