Fire-Ice-Slime is a very fast and simple, 2-player, 1 Treehouse game, similar to Rock-Scissors-Paper.

Players attack each other with fire, ice or slime, with the more powerful attack type winning.

Each attack type is represented by colours, and has both strengths and weaknesses.


Setup

Player 1 places one Red, Blue and Green Drone (2 pip), along with one Black Queen (3 pip) in front of them.

Player 2 places one Red, Blue and Green Pawn (1 pip), along with one Black Drone (2 pip) in front of them.

A Tree of (3) Yellow pyramids is placed in between the two players.

Attack Ranking

Red pyramids represent Fire, Blue pyramids represent Ice and Green pyramids represent Slime.

Fire melts Ice freezes Slime smothers Fire

Play

Each player secretly chooses which of the three attacks they wish to fire in the next round.

Players use one hand to shield their pieces, and the other to place the black pyramid, to conceal the selected attack colour.

The pyramid containing the chosen attack is moved out from behind the hand-screen and pushed slightly towards the opposing player (without lifting the pyramid off the table) and the remaining two pyramids are pulled back by the hand-screen (remaining hidden), removing them from play this round.

In order to launch their attacks, players simultaneously yell “3-2-1-” followed by the name of their attack type, e.g.: “-Ice!” Both players lift their black pyramid upon yelling the name of their attack.

The winner of the round is then determined according to Attack Ranking. The winning player collects a single Yellow pyramid from the center. Matching attacks negate each other and require a replay.

Game Over

Once all three yellow pyramids have been removed from the center, the game is over and the player with the most yellow pyramids is declared the winner.

Three Treehouse Variation

This can be played with three Treehouse sets.

Player One has 3 black queens, and Player Two has 3 drones.

Players cover all attack colours with black pyramids.

Behind a hand-screen each player slightly lifts/tilts pyramids to see which colour is under each pyramid.

Players push forward the desired attack, and drag back the remaing two.

Gameplay is unchanged.
