Category:Race

The Race category is for games where the goal is to be the first player to get your piece(s) from Point A to Point B, in a topographic sense. Sometimes this involves a round trip (Antshouse), or forming a particular formation at the destination (Moscow Ice). Race games are often roll-and-move games, but not all involve dice.

This is not to be confused with games where players compete to a set amount of points (Pikemen), or to capture the most territory (Gnostica). Those games tend to use different mechanics, such as capturing, to achieve the goal.
