The pips near the base of this red 2-pointer are clearly visible.

Pips are the indented dots near the base of Icehouse pieces. They may sometimes be called points. Large pieces, or queens, have three pips on each side, medium pieces, or drones, have two pips on each side, and small pieces, or pawns, have one pip on each side.

Pips are often used to determine point value of pieces in Icehouse games.

The phrase pip count usually refers to the sum of pips in a particular group of pyramids.
