Crystal Traders is a trading game for 3 or more players based off of an article about Basic Strategy in games. In the game, you have a pile of crystal from your homeworld and must use them to trade with traders from other homeworlds, trying to get the most points at the end of the game. Each crystal's point value is based on a number of things.

Supplies needed to play[edit | edit source]

A stash for each player playing.
A timer or some way to keep time.

Setup[edit | edit source]

Each player gets their stash out, and arranges them in any way they wish in front of them.
Also, each player must take a large crystal and place it in front of their stash, face down, so that everyone knows which color of crystal he owns.
Once everyone is ready, agree on a time limit for trading. A standard amount of time for the game is 5 minutes, but you can make it longer if you need to.

Play[edit | edit source]

At the beginning of the game, start the timer.
You may then start trades, by offering some of your crystals for others. Once you and another player agree to a trade, you then give each other the crystals you agreed upon. The player on your right has valuable crystals that are worth more than any other crystal that you can trade for, while other crystals are worth more than your own. Having your own crystals at the end of the game are worthless (See Below).

End of the game[edit | edit source]

Once the timer hits sounds off (or hits zero), the game ends. You then calculate how many VP (victory points) you have.

Score Sheet
Size	YOC	AC	SC
Small	1	1	2
Medium	1	2	3
Large	1	3	5
YOC = Your Own Color
AC = Another Color (besides your own)
SC = Special Color (Color of the player to your right)

Winning[edit | edit source]

The player with the most VP wins.
