Chessboard wedge

From Looney Pyramid Games Wiki

Also known as Martian Chessboard Sections, these interesting shapes were designed by Elliott C. "Eeyore" Evans. Originally intended for playing Martian Chess with only three players, it was quickly discovered that these boards could be used for playing with any number between 2 and 6 players, as well as for playing any game that utilizes one quarter of a chessboard per player.

The shape is the right kite formed by bisecting each of the sides of a regular hexagon. A complete description of this board shape (as well as a PDF for printing your own) is available at the official web page.
